 Ass Prof. Sohl Timo Sebastian

Assistant Professor of Strategic Management at the Department of Economics and Business, Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). 

Speech Title: "Investment frictions and diversification decisions: Evidence from chain organizations in Europe"

He obtained his Ph.D. in Management at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. Before joining UPF, He has been a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Strategic Management Department at IESE Business School and a visiting fellow at Texas A&M University.

His research interests include corporate strategy, diversification, market entry & exit, resource allocation & redeployment, and business model portfolios & innovation. His work has been published in leading management journals such as Strategic Management JournalStrategic Entrepreneurship Journal, and Academy of Management Discoveries, and has been awarded several prizes from the international research community, including the Corporate Strategy IG Best Paper Award from the Strategic Management Society and the Distinguished Paper Award from the Academy of Management.
