Dr. Indrani Chakraborty is the HDFC Bank Chair Professor in Banking and Finance at the Institute of Economic Growth, Delhi. Formerly, she was the Director of the Institute of Development Studies, Kolkata, India. She received a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Calcutta and is a recipient of the CICOPS scholarship and Liverpool-India Fellowship to work at the University of Pavia and the University of Liverpool Management School, respectively. She has published widely in reputed journals and contributed to many book volumes. She authored “Exploring What Drives Indian Stock Market During Covid-19: Fads or Fundamentals“ (2023, Springer) and co-edited some books.
